  • Hotels in the post-Covid stage

The articles related to the consequences suffered by the hotel sector, following the arrival of the pandemic, are numerous. The question of what will happen in the future is also one of the unknowns addressed. We will now talk about hotels in the so-called post-Covid stage, a context in which we speak of survival, of the before and after in which hotel equipment has had to adapt (and reinvent itself in the field of security) in order to continue its activity.

  • Screens, one more element for prevention

Due to the pandemic, many companies have had to take preventive measures to avoid possible infections. The use of masks, social distancing and the disinfection of objects and areas prevail over the usual cleaning routines. To all this, it is added the extra protection in which businesses must invest, who sometimes cannot do without face-to-face treatment. In this sense, it is necessary to highlight the growing appearance and demand for protective partitions, which promote safe contact. These allow two people to be fairly close, exchanging information, without fear of getting infected.

  • The reopening of the hotels and the return to the ‘new normality’

During confinement we have had to stop. The pause has forced us to think, there have been rethinking of business projects. Large companies, which have never experienced a break, have had to reformulate; throw closure; think about the essentials and bet, once and for all, on technology. Telecommuting is here to stay, and computers and telephones have once again shown that they are essential, because they shorten distances. Tourism is one of the fields that has been mostaffected by the ravages of the pandemic. Now, leaving behind the de-escalation, we attend to the reopening of the hotels and the return to the so-called ‘new normality’. The question is, however, if the hotels will be the same again or will be strengthened: many have implemented their services to stay in the limelight and others are waiting for a situation of great uncertainty.
