Durant le confinement du Covid19 nous avons dut nous arrêter. La pause nous a permis de réfléchir et redéfinir nos projets. De grandes entreprises qui n’ont jamais vécu un tel coup de frein ont dut se réorganiser; fermeture, penser à l’essentiel et miser une fois pour toute sur la technologie. Le télétravail est arrivé pour rester et les ordinateurs et smartphones nous démontrent une fois de plus qu’ils sont indispensables pour éliminer la distance. Le tourisme fait partit des secteurs les plus touchés par les ravages de la pandémie. Maintenant que nous sommes en phase de désescalade nous attendons la réouverture des hôtels et le retour à ce qui s’appelle la « nouvelle normalité ». La question est de savoir si les hôtels seront pareils ou s’ils en sortiront renforcés: beaucoup ont augmenté leurs services afin de se maintenir et d’autres sont dans l’attente dans une situation de grande incertitude.

During confinement we have had to stop. The pause has forced us to think, there have been rethinking of business projects. Large companies, which have never experienced a break, have had to reformulate; throw closure; think about the essentials and bet, once and for all, on technology. Telecommuting is here to stay, and computers and telephones have once again shown that they are essential, because they shorten distances. Tourism is one of the fields that has been mostaffected by the ravages of the pandemic. Now, leaving behind the de-escalation, we attend to the reopening of the hotels and the return to the so-called ‘new normality’. The question is, however, if the hotels will be the same again or will be strengthened: many have implemented their services to stay in the limelight and others are waiting for a situation of great uncertainty.
